Settlement of Arginonta
Seaside settlement with a pebble beach and turquoise waters. Known for the church of Saint Nicholas, Panagia Galatiani monastery, and climbing routes overlooking Telendos.
Arginonta is the first seaside settlement encountered by visitors arriving from the port of Pothia.
It is known for its pebbled beach with turquoise waters and the trees that surround the bay of the same name. The parish church of Arginonta is Saint Nicholas together with Panagia Galatiani, where services are held every Sunday as well as on every major religious holiday of our Church, such as Easter and the Dormition of the Virgin Mary, when the local women offer traditional gyristes, a type of fried dough similar to loukoumades.
Finally, the surrounding area features many climbing routes with views of the beautiful island of Telendos.
